Prawn Toast

Prawn Toast

You will need:

150g raw king prawns
4 slices thick white bread
2 tbsp grated ginger
1 large egg white
1 tsp light soy
1 large egg, beaten
50g white sesame seeds
0.5 tsp fine sugar
pinch of salt & pepper
veg oil for frying


1. make your prawn paste: in a food processor, combine your deveined prawns, egg white, ginger, soy, sugar, salt &

2. pepper and blitz to a paste. transfer to a bowl. spread the paste evenly over your bread. brush lightly with the beaten egg and pat a layer of sesame seeds onto the toasts.


3. fry the toasts: in a large frying pan, add your oil on high heat. add your toasts un-spread side down for about 2 minutes. carefully turn over onto the paste side and cook for 2 minutes, or until the sesame seeds are golden.

4. remove and drain on a baking sheet. cut each slice into quarters and enjoy!
